The Pocinho room at Holiday Inn Porto Gaia is absolutely amazing! The coolest thing about it is that the walls can be removed, making it versatile for different needs. As a young family, we loved the spaciousness and flexibility of the room. It was perfect for us to relax, watch TV, work, and enjoy quality time together.
Personally, I didn't love the kitchenette in the room. But hey, that's just my opinion.

The staff was so chill and friendly, especially Mr Oleksandr at the front desk. He gave us mad tips for our 24-hour visit to Porto. The room had dope views and the beds were hella comfy. The hotel restaurant served bomb dinner with tasty Portuguese cuisine. And the best part was the outdoor smoking area where we met other cool guests. Shout out to everyone at the hotel for making our trip start with a bang!
The only thing that didn't quite hit the mark for us party-loving teens was the lack of a happening nightlife scene around the hotel. It would've been epic to have some nearby clubs or bars where we could dance the night away.

Churrasqueira novo rumo is short way from the hotel. Area is near to the sites like Sandeman Cellars within 15 minutes walk.

Super beds, friendly staff.
2 coffee machines for hundreds of potential breakfast guests just doesn't work. The same applies to 1 person at the omelette station. Even a tiny demand such as filling the empty KetchUp, for example, takes 5 minutes to fulfill. My scrambled eggs are already plastered. Or got cold.

Bathtub was dangerously slippery.

Rooms are absolutely okay for a short stay, overall a good choice
The peripheral location in Gaia has the advantage of being fairly quiet. The transfer to the city is correspondingly more difficult. The metro is about 10-15 minutes walking distance (not recommended in the dark), the taxi costs about 6-8 €.

I had low expectations when I arrived at this hotel, but I was pleasantly surprised. The staff here are extremely friendly and helpful, going above and beyond to make my stay enjoyable. The restaurant and bar on-site are excellent, offering a variety of delicious options. Additionally, the free parking provided a convenient amenity for guests. I was impressed by the level of service and the kindness of the staff, making this hotel stand out from others I've stayed at.
I highly recommend this hotel to all. The staff here are exceptional and the overall experience was wonderful.

Friendliness of all staff ,and the cleanliness of the WHOLE place.Food was very much acceptable and there was plenty of choice.Transport, bus and metro was great and so near to the entrance for someone who cannot walk far like myself.
THe only thing I did not like was the inability to pay my account with a credit card.I made arrangements with my bank that I would be in POrto but after three attempts I gave up.Good job I had cash available.

Staff very friendly.Rooms very spacious and the viuws there amacing , at one side the ocean ,at the other the Douro River. There is good outside parking which and the weekends is for free. Also there is 3 coffe bars very close to the hotel that you can have breakfast for two for six euros.
No Kettle in the room or tea or coffe. There was a bootle of water in the room but cost 5 euros !!!! The water in the shower would go very cold or very hot all of a sudden with out you touching anything.

The staff greeted us with a warm welcome and were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The spacious room was clean and well decorated, with a comfortable bed. The hotel also had great amenities such as a spa and pool, which were affordable and added to our relaxation. The location of the hotel was central and convenient, with easy access to shops, restaurants, and the railway station. this place exceeded our expectations and provided us with a great value for money experience.

Value for money was the best thing. I was able to park in a private area (not garage though) for free. Also, the surface metro is conveniently located just outside, giving you a great mobility option if you want to pause in using the car.
The room had very tired furniture and carpets, and there were humidity marks on some parts of the walls. Soundproofing from the city noise outside leaves a lot to be desired. The breakfast isn't the quality level expected from a 4-star hotel: For example, no fruit available.

The view from my room on the 18th floor The tea & coffee making facilities in the room The bathroom The large, comfortable bed The quiet
The gym was so small, it was almost pointless The food on room service The breakfast was ok, but not worth the 13.50 extra

The breakfast was really nice and fresh, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was big, clean, and comfortable. The restaurant/bar downstairs served great food and cocktails. The hotel had a great view across the city to the sea from our room on the 20th floor. The location was convenient as it was near the Port wine houses and had easy access to the metro.

This modern hotel has exceptionally friendly staff. The location is close to the airport which is great for business travelers. It's in an area of town that's not particularly interesting, but it's only a short trip down the hill to the port winery's. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, clean, and well-decorated with comfortable beds. The facilities such as the spa and pool are fantastic. The breakfast offers a variety of options.
